here's wishing my amazing husband a happy 41st birthday today {& his twin sister Donna}! we all love you both so much! Dan... you're an incredible husband, wonderful father & all around great person & I'm so proud of you & everything you do! Love ya honey!

yep, it's true... we now have a pre-teen in the house! I have to admit, I'm freaking a little. I now have a handsome young man, who's nearly as tall as me. Dan & I work every day trying to guide Collin in the right direction, to be polite, caring & to work as hard as you can to achieve what you want. Collin, you're sensitive, sweet & you're constantly trying to improve upon yourself as a person. I love that, even though you might fight us on certain matters {which has been a lot lately}, when we explain to you why things are the way they are & why we may put our foot down, you eventually come around after putting more thought into it. You try your hardest to be a good brother, even though sometimes they make it hard, you always have a good heart. I hope you continue to work on you, what you want & where you want to go... after all, that's a great way to become a great guy :) I compiled a few layouts of Collin I have done of pictures from the last year...

we've had an eventful several days here. thought i'd share...
Thursday we celebrated this guys 9th birthday
by watching him & his team play in the last game of a ball tournament. Evan was over the top excited to be able to play baseball on his birthday... I don't think he would've wanted to be anywhere else! & guess what?
they played an AWESOME game, won 3rd place in the tournament {Evan's birthday wish}... they were sooo excited! I'm so happy for them... they are a great bunch of kids!

my parents were camping out in our "campground" for about a week... we love when they come to stay! I think the kids talked them into campfires about every night... complete with smores!
playing with pet sticks? well, whatever keeps her busy.. & happy :)
our 17th anniversary was Saturday... we started the morning off with a short, but hot & hilly 2 mile run up & down our road.
love this guy with all my heart :)
& then we had a birthday party for Evan in the afternoon. Lots of fun :)

Nine years ago today, Dan & I were "out on the town" trying to fit in an anniversary brunch, a little shopping & just some time alone while my mom & dad watched our oldest Collin. The next morning, I was scheduled for a c-section, so obviously I'd be in the hospital over our anniversary on the 2nd. Well, all through brunch, shopping & after getting home, what do you know, but I was having contractions the entire time. I thought for sure he could wait just a little longer, but the nurse said I better come in. Our doctor decided, well since we had already drove there & most everyone else needed was there, they'd go ahead & deliver him that night. So just a short while later... we had a June baby, instead of another July baby. Our little white haired, ducky fuzz headed guy Evan. He's has been such a great kid... although ornery for sure, he has a sweet way about him, a soft heart, quick witted & a determined spirit. It's been amazing watching him grow into a rambunctious toddler who was up & running at 9 months to a fairly calm, quiet kid. Evans current love is baseball... in fact he plays his last game of the season tonight! His birthday wish is for his team to win & get 3rd place in the tournament :) So, for his birthday, we'll be at the ball field of course, but it seems just right... & he'll love every minute of it I'm sure! We love you Evan!

that's right, our baby girl turned 4 yesterday... I can hardly believe that 4 years ago this little girl entered our world & since that day, our lives have never been the same! She's funny. she's silly. she tells it like it is. she's bossy. she's sweet. she's lovable. she is dramatic. she pushes our buttons. she annoys her brothers. she loves everyone around her. she loves school. she loves her boys. she lives a good part of her days in pajamas. she loves watching her shows. she wants to grow her hair long like Rapunzel. she's a daddy's girl. she suprises us every day by the things she says & knows. she's newly four... & she LOVES her birthday! miss Lydia has been waiting & waiting for this day & when she woke up yesterday promptly at 5:30 am she told me "I think I'm turning four". I told her to get a little more sleep & we'd see.... well she never did fall asleep, so at 6 am I let her know: " I think you are four!". Up she bounced & had to tell everyone in the house & then it was the long, long wait until everyone arrived for her birthday at noon. We had lots of family come for soup & cake & ice cream... and of course, presents! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes & for all of you that were able to come to celebrate our little lady... it really does mean the world to her! happy birthday sweet girl :)
