fashionable fall

Every August I really get in the mood for fall... for the new fashions that are appearing in the stores, new clothes for the kids, thinking about when the leaves change, the weather gets cooler, Thanksgiving, trips to the pumpkin patch & cool evenings snuggled on the porch.  Yes, I love fall.

Well, I've done up a new paper kit called fashionable fall... a little different color combination, but still evokes thoughts of fall to me.  I've combined tans, creams, oranges, & blue-greys for this warm & cozy textured collection.  I hope you like it! Here's the link to buy it HERE!

about the page:

all patterned & textured papers from the fashionable fall collection: pink trike design.  stitching: anna aspnes, designer digitals.  fonts: splendid 66 & velvet.

journaling reads: miss L you have always had the sweetest most kissable cheeks. finding this picture of the two of us brings back so many happy memories of you as a baby.  i loved when i could hold you right there, nice & tight & kiss on those cheeks. 9.07.

inspired by...

I'm always inspired  by little girls clothes... not only inspired to buy them {heehee}, but inspired by the cute details, the color combinations, how they can stick so much adorable into these little people clothes.  Lately I've been loving charcoal grey, but I'm not quite to the point where I want to dress miss L in such a grown up color combo.  Here I've put together some combinations that I think are just sweet enough for a 3 year old {I'd wear it myself if I could pull it off}.

1. girls' dottie dress... j crew

2. girls' ribbed city tee leggings... j crew

3. girls' floral hair band... j crew

4. girls' converse glitter sneakers... j crew

5. silky ruffle front top... gap

6. quilted patent leather ballet flats... gap

7.  denim skirt... gap

new! stripy digital papers

if you read my blog post on Friday... you'll remember I was inspired by a cute stripy cardigan sweater from the Boden catalog.  So here's my take on the wonderful striped goodness in digital form... 8 stripy papers... 4 tonal versions in shades of grey, charcoal, tan & brown & 4 coordinating versions with a pop of color!  Love how fun & versatile these turned out!  you can find this fun kit at my pink trike digital shop!

finding color inspiration

there is no doubt... sometimes we creative types just get stuck.  ideas are not flowing, we're stuck staring at our computer screen, or our scrapbook page, our canvas... what to do?  It's inevitable i think, that this will happen & I've found that it's just best to step away & try to immerse myself with lots of inspiration.  I thought I'd share just a few places today that I've found that help me get out of that slump...

pinterest website

seriously... if you've not been here you've got to sign up.  all kinds of visual candy.  homes, design, colors, anything you can think of!  it's so good!  I've found so many links to other inspiring websites that I'd never heard of... like the image below, I found on pinterest & it led me to the inspired bride site & all the color palette ideas they have there... again WOW!

inspired bride website

I mean, I'm obviously not planning a wedding right now, so I probably never would have found this site otherwise.  They have tons of amazing color palettes there.

So there you have it, just a few places I've found my inspiration lately... I have a whole stack of ideas saved in my inspiration folder now from surfing around both sites.  I've been taking tons of screen shots... it's a great way to remember the great ideas you've seen.

have a great {inspired} Tuesday everyone :)
