new etsy prints

I've been adding some goodies over at my etsy shop as I complete them... here's a few I added over the weekend.

my girl print

I'll be adding more versions of this soon, but this one is customizable with name, hair/eye color & main color {dress, name, etc}.  This one is based off of some little bobbed haired girly I know {hehe}.  Notice the blonde hair, PiNk dress & of course LeGgiNgs!  Having fun doing these & would be happy to create one for you're girl too!

you are my sunshine

you make me smile

i hope you can go on over & check them out!

have a great monday everyone :)

hoot & letter prints

this morning before we went on a whirlwind day of taking the kids around to a few different fun things {in the crazy heat}... I added some things to my etsy store {yay!} finally.  just a few prints over there right now, but I've got lots going on I'm planning to add over the next week... hope you can come visit!

first... it's hoot.  cute, eh?  I can do her/him up in all kinds of colors & patterns!

... and also personalized letter/name prints!!! I've been wanting to do this for a while, well, because, you know I love letters!  these can also be done up in various colors & patterns & completely personalized with your chosen letter + name!  & it's not just for the kids... how about your family name?

I'll post more here when I get it put up & tomorrow I'll make sure to post some pics of our whirlwind day that included fishing, the Nina & Pinta & hot air balloons!  hope you're all having a wonderful weekend as well.

oh... & did you notice my new header look?  couldn't help but play around a little with some of the digital goodies in the pink trike shop {note paper is from the vintage polka.dot package & the banner is from the oh happy day extras}.

birthday mini book

I've been working on a little project here this morning... a mini book template :)  I hope to have it up in the shop this weekend, but here's what I put together for a sample.  You'll be able to have as many pages as you want, I did one with 6 pages with pictures I had from Lydia's 3rd birthday party.  The oh happy day collection went perfectly {maybe because I drew inspiration for the colors from her dress? heehee!}.  The template will be easy & quick... all you'll have to do is insert your pics & print... either in your file OR you could print out the pages & your photos separately & do it a little more traditional style! This one is a smallish 4x5.5" book... just perfect :)

my little lady loved the book & couldn't wait to look & touch!  She was sweet enough to help me with the pictures to show it off...

happy friday everyone:)

vintage dots

oh yes... two of my favorite things!  I love the vintage, antique, old style look & I love love love polka dots... so here's a brand new kit in the shop vintage polka.dot No. 1!  Go ahead & check it out if you'd like... I hope you'll love it too.

& the layout I created with the kit!!! The photos were all taken in our house of some things that I really love the most: antique chairs {especially the children's ones painted & all chippy}, green Ball jars & buttons {oh yes I have many!}, the curtains in our kitchen {red & cream gingham with old trim} & the old looking hardware I searched for to get just the right look to compliment our off white  painted cabinets & beadboard of our kitchen.

cool thing too, the old ledgers & note papers that are included in the set were found in some of my grandparent's belongings... I'm so happy to be able to preserve that in a whole new way!

color cues 7.15.10

image from zupas.com via pinterest

color inspiration really is everywhere!  I was immediately drawn to this yummy looking jello concoction... not just because it looked yummy, but I was into the colors, the striped rainbow-like pattern & how it just looked summery & happy!  Today just seemed perfect to put together something cool & refreshing.... it's HOT hot HOT here so we're enjoying the AC.  I was reminded of some photos I had taken at the beginning of summer when the kids first got out the slip n slide, new suits & water guns...

I recreated the rainbow stripe look with patterned papers from my digital paper lines available in the pink trike shop.  I've taken from the lines sunny, evan, collin & oh happy day {boyish}.  It's my thing to do lots of different patterns together, but not so much my thing to have lots of pictures on one layout, but I love how this one turned out!  Remember... color inspiration doesn't always have to be literal... it's much more fun to add you're own stamp to it!

have a cool day :)
