color cues 7.22.10

today I'm taking a little bit of inspiration from these dresses from baby gap.  I'm taking a little bit of color inspiration & a little design inspiration.  I'm loving the bold stripes, the summery colors & the heathered effect on the fabric reminds me of a little distress I love to add to my papers.

here's a layout I did with the new stripy paper I created + some others I have recently done up...

how cute is she?  these are some pics I took last week when we visited my parents at Coralville while they camping there.  We took them to the spillway at the lake & they had so much fun & got sooooo wet!  it was like a mini water park :)

good things...

for those that know me... you know I'm one of those glass half full type of girls, yes an optimist at heart.  I like to think everything will always work out & be ok.  One of my favorite things to do is collect quotes... happy quotes, meaningful things, things that ring true to my life.  I've been trying to create more things that really mean something to me {with the hopes they will mean something to others as well}.  so here are some things that are new over at my etsy shop... up, up & away

I created this layout today with some of my photos from the weekend & a few things I've been wanting to try lately... 

this FREE digital template from paislee press & lara jade retro pop photo action that is also free... pretty fun. thought these pics might be perfect for it!

I also used the ledger paper from my vintage polka.dot line & the girly banner from the oh happy day girly extra set.  The yellow zig zag paper is *coming soon*!  Font is splendid 66.

birthday mini book

I've been working on a little project here this morning... a mini book template :)  I hope to have it up in the shop this weekend, but here's what I put together for a sample.  You'll be able to have as many pages as you want, I did one with 6 pages with pictures I had from Lydia's 3rd birthday party.  The oh happy day collection went perfectly {maybe because I drew inspiration for the colors from her dress? heehee!}.  The template will be easy & quick... all you'll have to do is insert your pics & print... either in your file OR you could print out the pages & your photos separately & do it a little more traditional style! This one is a smallish 4x5.5" book... just perfect :)

my little lady loved the book & couldn't wait to look & touch!  She was sweet enough to help me with the pictures to show it off...
