WOW. the end of February already? Crazy, isn't it? Today I've got {what I think is} a great release that just makes me happy :) I hope it makes you happy too...

well, it's been 2 weeks since I went with Lydia & her preschool class to Kathy's Pumpkin Patch & I'm finally getting my blog post up about it! It was a bit of a cool day weather wise, but nice & sunny too & the kids had a great time. The owner, Kathy, showed them all kinds of different pumpkins & gourds first. They then got to go on a wagon ride to the corn maze, then to pick their own pumpkins, then back to play in all the fun stuff that they have set up there. They have a corn "bath" {as the kids were calling it}, trikes, play houses, slides & lots more! Seriously if you're in the area you should go by & check it all out... I know they do lots of fun "grown up" things too :) Here's a few pictures I captured that day!
what a fun day :) Have you been to the Pumpkin Patch this year? It has always been my favorite field trip that the kids take... I just love all the fun pictures I get!

hey everyone, I know I haven't been around, but you know... busy, busy! We had a nice little {short} trip to KC last week & had a fun filled weekend with family & friends. I've really had to put it into high gear the last few days to get all the goodies completed for my release tomorrow! I had lots of fun creating these though! So, thought I'd give you a little taste of what will be coming tomorrow:

hey everyone... just thought I would show you some layouts I put together this afternoon. I had fun playing around with a few of the kits that I released today, but hadn't gotten the chance to use myself! the first two layouts are using primarily the Feels Like Home September mini kit
for this one about my favorite part of the year... bringing out the fall decorations I also used the solid blue texture from Cozy & the Tears Set 2 from Tiffany Tillman so cool {DHD} & Stitching from Katie Pertiet Stamped Stitches no9 {DD}.
for this layout about Dan turning the big 40 I also used some parts from a Katie Pertiet Layered Template Just Look at You {the frame & stitches}, the same stitching set again from above & parts from Karen Funks Back 2 School Layered Template {modified slightly}.
and I love this one I created of Evan's first day of 3rd grade with the Sweet Fall v2 patterned & solid papers...
I again used the Karen Funk Back 2 School Layered Template, modified slightly... these are really awesome templates btw.
I've had a great time doing some layouts today & I hope you've gotten to stop over to my shop at DHD & take advantage of the 30% off... don't forget they'll be on sale until Sunday! YAY! Today was the day that Lydia had been waiting for for months! the first day of preschool :) I had picked out a sweet dress from her closet last night, ironed it, picked out a matching barrette & sandals, thinking about her first day pictures. Well, as usual, this little lady had her own plan & ditched the dress I picked & went to her closet to pick a new dress {I think she did good!}. Once she was all ready she wanted to make sure I took pictures of her just like I did of "her boys" last week on the first day of school. Seriously, this one doesn't miss a thing. So she struck her pose & said "preschool!"
and modeled her ensemble....
when I asked what she was doing here, she said "I was just thinking about preschool..."
& then she had to try to catch some raindrops on her tongue {even though it wasn't raining anymore}
then she ran toward the car yelling... "come on mom!" {complete with blankie cape}

I love love love how excited she is about preschool! She was such a smiling, happy go lucky little girl today... made her mama so happy too! We even were able to go pick up some McDonald's & eat lunch in daddy's office, then we needed to go get Lydia a few shots she was missing & since she did so great, a well deserved ice cream cone! Now? It's nap time. phew!
Congratulations of your first of many first days of school sweetie! We love you & are so proud of you :)
