an awesome new digi home

hello Thursday, hello new beginnings.

with my retirement from DHD complete, I'm so thrilled to tell you about my new digital home...

I'm sure many of you may have guessed already, but I'm still very excited to tell you. Pixels & Company is headed up by the ever fabulous Gennifer Bursett. I'm honored to be in the present company {pun intended} & I am SO excited for the 10 other designers that will be revealed in the upcoming weeks. Over the next several weeks I'll be repackaging, creating new kits, fixing things that need fixing. I'm excited {did I already say that?} & overwhelmed & ready to start something new with a group of people I believe in & have become very close with over the last several years & especially the last few months. So here's to something new & to Pixels & Co. Coming soon.

38.

wait, what? thirty?eight? huh? I have no idea how in the world I got to the age of 38... aren't I still 28?

I know I'm fortunate to be one of those people who feel like I'm really still in my 20s, not inching closer to the big 4-0. I've led an amazing life so far, lucky to find the one I love so young {love ya baby}, working hard along with him to build a life we only dreamed of when we first met, enjoying our kids & our home as they grow...

Really, the time has flown by & the last few years I feel like I've "found myself". Yeh, I know... blah blah, how cliche. But, for real, I've pushed myself over the last couple years into unfamiliar & uncomfortable territory in both my personal & work life. I feel more confident in my abilities as a mom, I've tried to become a better & more understanding wife {I'm pretty amazing at that already, but, hey there's always room for improvement, right?}, I've built my design business into something I really had no idea I could drive myself to do & I'm feeling way more at peace & confident about who I am than I ever thought possible. One thing I've always felt is people just have to decide to be happy & I truly try to live that way. There are rare occasions I feel that the pessimist comes out in me... I'm a glass-half-full kinda girl. So here I am, on my 38th birthday, hoping you all love celebrating your birthdays as much as I love celebrating them. It's really a blessing... life is way to short to not enjoy it. So, I'm giving you this gift, from me to you... a printable for you...hope you love it, I think it says it all.

new dollar kit 7.17

Hey everyone, hoping you had a wonderful weekend! We have a heat wave going on once again here, so we're enjoying the pool & the air conditioning as much as possible. 

I have a new dollar kit up in the shop today...

I loved this color palette & it's a fun one for summer & of course, my favorite dots & stripes.

eighteen.

today Dan & I celebrate 18 years.  it's crazy to think about. it's even crazier to think about all that we've been through together.  most all, I have to say, has been good, & I can't say I'd change anything.  everything happens for a reason & I love that we've learned a lot {good & bad}, accomplished things we dreamed about, work hard everyday at our marriage, are respectful of each other as husband & wife, as parents & know that neither one of us is perfect. but we love each other anyway.  I couldn't imagine spending my years with anyone else.  I love you Dan. Happy 18th Anniversary to us.
