Lydie+outside=happy

Today we made sure we got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.  We pulled Lydie's cozy coupe & trike out on the driveway to play {unfortunately she was more interested in the rocks & what Daddy was doing around the house}.  The boys have been lovin' this weekend for 4 wheelin' & watching Xmen movies w/ their Dad.  Thankfully, we all got some fresh air & loved playing in the sunshine!  Plus, I was able to get out the camera to get some sweet shots.  Next weekend won't be nearly as laid back with a wedding & our church auction & dinner, we'll be on high speed from Thursday night to late late Sunday night!

Lydie 2.5

Yesterday our little lady turned 2 1/2!  I can hardly believe how much change this girl has gone through in a mere 6 months.  It's crazy how such strong personalities grow in such little bodies!  New words & phrases occur daily & this morning she proclaimed herself a princess.  We love you so much,princess Lydia & you make us all smile & laugh every day {& yes a little frustration thrown in for good measure}!

feelin' like FALL?

The weather here in SE Iowa has been a little crazy recently... going from hot summer, to rainy & spring like & then to full blown fall {which I love, by the way}!  The evenings have been great to spend outside playing while Dan is working on the house & the boys are riding bikes or the 4wheeler.  The other night I made sure I took the camera {perfect weather & perfect lighting!}.  I got lots of cute ones of Lydie...

totally out of focus... but LOVE this pic!  Lydie sat right on my lap & said "take picture mommy", sat for 2.5 seconds & was back up again!  As you can see, this little girl brings me so much joy to my life.  She is so different, yet so similar to her brothers.  I really can't explain, but having a girl is a whole new experience!  Yes, she goes a million miles an minute, can be VeRY demanding & vERy stubborn, but she is also so funny, cute, lovable, sweet & we can't imagine life without her!  Love You sweetie...
