new releases 12.16

sorry I'm getting to this so late... the boys had an unexpected late start this morning, so of course that means I had a late start too ;)  anyway, here's what I've got this week... I can't believe it took me so long to do this one {as some little person in the house is so obsessed with cupcakes... we usually make a batch once a week}. I'm just loving the color combo on this & hope you do too... remember these are 30% off today!

& here's a layout I did with the kits...

journaling reads:

"once upon a time... there was a little girl with big ideas... she talked of being a doctor a mommy a teacher & then... she wanted to be everything... yes, everything. she wants to do it all. at 3 1/2... and her name was Lydia"  yep. that's my girl!

ps... check out the DHD blog today for the 1 kit 4 ways feature with my holiDAYs tags!  lots of great inspiration from the decorators!

also... I'm the featured designer this weekend at DHD!  I'll have a free kit, a $1 kit &.... wait for it.... yep, as an early Christmas gift to you my entire store will be 25% off all weekend :) YAY!  happy shopping!

have a sweet day!

time for cocoa

hey all... just wanted to pop in & tell show you these little sweet gifts I put together!

I had seen somewhere in twitter-land a link to an idea similar to this where she used these same super cute insulated cups from Target {they come in an 8 pack with lids}.  Here I put my own take on it...

I used a cup with the lid, a couple packages of cocoa {cappucino mix would be delish as well}, these fun snowman shaped marshmallows I found at the grocery store, & some twisty, glittery ribbon & super cool red & white striped straws I found at Hobby Lobby!  Oh... & did I mention that the Warm Wishes printable gift tags coordinate PERFECT with these cups?  Yep, I was a happy girl :)

I opened up the plain file up in Photoshop & added the "time for cocoa" word art & then printed them out

I just cut the tags out with my paper trimmer, punched a hole in the top corner & strung the wired ribbon through that & the drink opening in the lid, then wrapped that around the straw.  The cocoa packets & the marshmallows {which I put in a cellophane bag tied with the same wired ribbon} tucked nicely beside the straw inside the cup.  Super cheap & cute gift for a friend or some cute kids you know :)

ps... don't forget to leave a comment on my new release post from yesterday {I'll draw a winner on Monday!}

new releases 12.9

I've got lots of new goodies in the shop this week that I hope will be put to good use again & again...

I know, I know, I'm a little behind on getting these ones out, but I hope they'll be a useful set for you!

I've had lots of requests for stitching, so I was happy to fill that request {because I LoVe stitches too!}

& even a little stitched freebie!  notice how I've used the snowflake element in my new blog header... I think it's pretty cool.  I added it on top of the Snow Day snowflake elements + added the December tag from the Dated monthly journalers :)

& here's an example of the holiDAYS kit in action... I've done a simple page for a December Daily album using the holiDAYS kit {white number jumble, #1 tag & some stitching from the In Stitches Red & Cream set.  The background is from my Holly Jolly kit.  BTW... if you'd like to know how to make a garland like the one in the picture above, I'll be showing how on the DHD blog this weekend :)  It's really easy & cute!

*****free stuff alert*****

want to get all 4 of my new kits for fRee?  leave a comment below telling me what's on the top of you're digital wish list & I'll pick a winner on Monday, December 13th!

happy tree decor!

Ok, so this was delivered to my door yesterday...

yep, the Silhouette SD digital die cutting machine!  I've been stalking it for a long time, wondering if it was something that I really wanted or not.  I've seen so many cool projects done with it & had lots of cool ideas in my mind.  I finally decided to take the leap, as I could use it for Pink Trike & for gifts, etc.  So this morning I unpacked it, got it hooked up & loaded on my mac & off I went.  I figured out a few things right off that I messed up, but seriously it's super cool & easy to use.  My first project was an easy one... I had in my head that I wanted to make a banner garland for our christmas tree.  I took a file I already had created & just resized to what I needed.  My cup runneth over with excess scrapbook paper that has been sad & lonely in their bins.  I've been wanting to clean house of "traditional" scrapbook stuff, so that's what I decided to use... but how sweet would this be made out of any digital paper printed off & cut?  Here's how it turned out...

I think it's super cute.  All I did was fold the banners in half & stapled them to some twine.  I also made up those coffee filter flowers over the weekend & added the scrapbook papers to the centers & the buttons that I have a gazillion of!  I wanted our tree to look sorta fun & simple this year.  I've used the same ornaments & decorations for the last five years & I'm planning on putting them to use in other parts of the house to decorate.

Since I was so busy playing today, I didn't get any "real" work done, but I do have new kits coming out tomorrow... they'll be printable Christmas gift tags!  I've done up 4 different versions, with 2 different sheets in each... super useful this time of year!  I need to get some printed off myself... see you soon!

sneak peek 11.17

geez, was it really last Thursday when I last posted?  Wow!  The week flew by I guess, plus just taking lots of play time with the little miss.  She's really lovin' the Legos right now... & of course playing with the doll house.  We took some time this week too to pLaY OutSide while the weather was cooperating. The boys have been busy with all kinds of homework & projects too {Evan has Flat Stanley in the house & Collin is studying ancient Egypt}. More on those later :)

anyway, the reason I was posting was to give you a little peek at my release for tomorrow!  Here's a layout I did with it...

Digital Paper & elements: Warm Wishes by Robyn Meierotto {releasing tomorrow}, Stripy Paper Kit {grey stripe} by Robyn Meierotto, Butterfly element & "the end" word art by Karla Dudley.

Oh yeh, & word is there's going to be a "do-over" Digital Scrapbook Day chat at DHD this Saturday... stay tuned for more info on that!

In other news... I'm at 25.6 lbs lost & am moving ReaLLY close to my goal + WW has a new program coming out which I'm super excited about!  So far I know this: fruits & veggies are FREE :)  The family is getting bored with my same ol' suppers, so I did some looking on the WW website for some new things today & saved lots of recipes to try.  Here's what I'm planning on tonight:

these are some cards I'm putting together for gifts with some of my digital paper kits & some recipe card layered templates by Biograffiti {Mscraps.com}.  Can't wait to show you the final product!

have a great evening :)
